If you could do it again? Would you?

I am currently a Registered Nurse in Atlanta and want to ask some you guys/gals (AKA...The professionals) a few questions. I hope you will be kind in answering due to my lack of knowledge in competency in this arena.

A little about myself. I am 36 yrs old and in a past life was a flight attendant for a major airline flying international exclusively out of NYC for around 13 years. However, In that time I fell in love with flying. Yes, even the crappy layovers, quick turn times, and horrible reserve schedules!:D I never knew how great it was until years on the ground again. Even former flight attendants told me to never quit, I did to peruse my educational goals in Nursing.

Now to the meat and why I came to ask for your advice. I want to gain my wings back to so speak and want to get my private pilots license (e.g., Private, instrument, ATP). While most if not all pilots told me quit and go into Nursing (Nurse Practitioner School). Check! Did that and now I miss the freedom of being in the air. During that time most pilots told me their best flying experiences were private (e.g., Cessna or Piper)

Now to the question. Do you think it is possible to be a pilot with no time to date 08/28/2018 and go be a pilot and work as a Nurse? Or would you just use my money and get my private, and instrument ratings for just personal use only?

Thanks for your responses.

I would buy a Bellanca Super Viking and get my CFI on it.
Why a Super Viking?
Because if it was any more fun than that it would be illegal! :D

If you're a male in the nursing profession, stay in the nursing profession. You'll get the job you want, make more money over the rest of your career. Enough to buy an airplane and fly it to places for fun!

If you're a female in the nursing profession, get into the pilot profession. You'll get the job you want, make more money over the rest of your career. Whether you'll have more fun or not is up to you though. The pilot profession can be just as stressful as your job, and you spend a lot more time away from home.

There are a few places where you might be able to use both skills. Just a couple of examples...
