WMU

I'm planning to go to Western Michigan University and would like to know the graduation rate for Aviation Flight Science, overall the school has a 54%graduation rate and that is kinda concerning. For any graduates from this school tell me about cost and quality of training. Also before going to college should I get my Private pilots license?

Last I heard, they were still having issues hiring instructors (this is partially due to them paying way below market rates for CFIs)

I realize it was cheaper.

If you go to WMU with a PPL you will have to complete a transition course in order to start instrument. So just add $5000 to your original PPL cost or you can pay 20k for their PPL.

You will finish the program a year earlier if you come in with your PPL. Graduation rate is pretty good, I would guess close to 90 percent from the aviation college.
