Yeah, that's what I meant. BTW now you need to change the caption under your avatar from C-23 FO to PIC! If you think solo pattern was fun, just wait until you do your long cross country. I remember that as being a truly cool time.

ok ok so I wasn't going to make a post about my first solo, but I can't help it, I'm still smiling from ear to ear. TD, I remember you saying once that you sang "fly me to the moon," so when I went up and thats exactly what I did.. haha. I got about 1.1 solo time today, did 8 landings, all in class D airspace.

What did the class of airpace have with you flying the airplane to a safe landing? Did you do touch and goes? Were you scared?! Be careful out there!

:D ?

i donno, i was always under the impression that most people did their first solo at an uncontrolled airport. mine was in heavy friggin traffic... yeah they were touch and goes, all 6 of them, with 2 full stops. not scared, felt like i had been doing it forever.

Congrats! Ditto on the solo cross countries, its like a whole new world/freedom! The only time I got airsick was on my long solo cross country...but thats a different story and had to do with what I had eaten at my stop...

Congrats!

Solo flights are usually done at the airport where the training takes place. That makes sense does it not? If you were not scared, then you in the minority. Why? Never know what is going to happen when you walk out on the ramp........

How much flight time you have now?

i dont know why i wasn't scared.. it was just like when i drove in my car alone for the first time.. sure there was a little bit of anxiety and excitement, but I wasn't really scared or nervous that much... as of today i have 27.6 TT w/ 1.1 PIC.
