You're not going to be able to do it for less than like $70-80k.... unless you buy yourself your own airplane and then sell it back when you're done.

Some flight schools can get you to CFI for under 50k. Just try to avoid the big "zero to hero" flight schools.

Buying a plane is like buying a boat. Expect to throw a LOT of money into that hole. I wouldn't advise it as a solution to getting training and hours.

Not if you buy one that just had an annual, is in good shape and current, and you complete your ratings before the next annual.

Yeah, because mx costs only pop up at annuals and you'll definitely be able to sell the aircraft before the next annual is due. =/

I'm just saying, you seem to be selling a pipe dream. I don't see aircraft ownership as a cheaper option to get your training done.

Seattle is generally expensive. Rainier might give you the best value.

Snohomish can get you zero to Commercial & CFI for 53k.

If you're willing to do all your training in a 162, Rainier can definitely keep you under 50k. If I remember correctly, spanaflight has 172M/N for 130/hr, which is a good deal but they're in Puyallup
