Atlanta Flight Training (PDK, RYY)
Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a few months and decided to post. I'm a 34 yr old career changer with a PPL and about 100 hrs TT. My tentative plan is to continue working will attaining all the required certificates, then instruct part time or full time to make the leap to a regional. My 1st class medical should be completed in August or September and I'll jump into IFR training once the 1c is in hand.
Does anyone have experience with Skybound aviation at PDK or Superior Flight School at McCollum in Kennesaw? Skybound has a Cherokee for $115/hr wet plus $70/hr for a CFI. All of Skybound's other planes are in the $160-$180/hr range. Superior Flight is closer to my house and has a few planes for about $150/hr wet plus $60/hr for a CFI. Superior does have a 172 for $125/hr, but it looks pretty basic. Anyone looking to time build this Fall? Thanks for the feedback! |
I'm a CFI at RYY and PDK. I have first hand experience with Superior. I was a student there.
Like you I am also a career changer, going from engineering to full time flight instruction. I made the switch a few months ago. Let's chat via PM. |
