Default Comparing instrument rating costs

In the process of shopping around for a school for my instrument rating. One of the smaller schools who btw has a good reputation is several thousand cheaper then the other places I’m looking into.
What do I need to ask to make sure I’m comparing apples to apples?
Thank you

Go here and get it in 7 days for $5k. You'll get about 30 hours all in the plane. Go to the second link and read all the testimonies.

That sounds pretty fast. Make sure you get some “wet”, that is, actual instrument time. Being inside a cloud in rain is vastly different from being under the hood. If they don’t get you some actual, move on.

Well that's what's accelerated is all about.

He does actual if it's there. Can't control the weather though. I've have seen people get as much as 15-20 hours of actual with him if the weather is right. I did an IPC with him and clear as a bell the whole time.

For apples to apples, look at the type, age, and avionics of the aircraft that you will be flying.

Realize, too, that no school can guarantee that you will pass your check ride after the minimum instruction hours, and that the dollar quotation is for the minimum instruction hours allowed by FARs. Whether or not YOU can pass after minimum instruction is up to you.

Default IFR

This guy up in Michigan is pretty good as well, really good working environment, former airline pilot and check-airmen highly recommend him I also did some actual IFR there.

If you are trying to keep your cost down for your instrument rating, look for a flight school that has an AATD. This way you can do 20 out of 40 in a simulator. Here is how you can use an AATD for your instrument Rating: https://www.aviator.nyc/instrument-r...raining-guide/
