What's everyone charging these days? NOT the school...just independents. Thanks!

I'm also interested in knowing what the market rate is.

If you're a freelance CFI please post your rate (Ground school, Flight Instruction, BFR, etc) in addition to your location.

Around here they are about $35 to $50 per hour. We are working on getting some instructors that are willing to work on the non profit for free to near free on a limited bases.

We are based in central Florida but the goal is to have a network of CFIs+ all over.

Why would an instructor invest tens of thousands of dollars and years of their life to become a flight instructor just so that they could work for free?

IDK maybe it's like graphic designers and artists.... think of all the "exposure" you'll get for doing xyz for free...
