Tarrant County College???

I have a military flight background, but we have family friends who have a son who is interested in going the civilian root to becoming a pilot. They live in the DFW area and are looking at Tarrant County College. I am not 100% sure of their son's ultimate goal in flying, as they are a million ways to create a career as a pilot. Can anyone share their experience with TCC or provide alternatives? I am aware of Embry Riddle, but that is about as deep as my knowledge of getting civilian flight training to become a professional pilot goes. I appreciate any help!

Is he wanting to get a degree or just do flight training?
