ATP flight school
Aloha !!!
Before I begin, I would just like to thank all members who have contributed to this site. Reading the various posts has helped me make some serious decesions. Im a fresh private pilot looking to further my training. I live in Hawaii and will be leaving tommrow to PHX to check out ATP's facility there to finish the rest of my training in my quest to land a job at one of the regionals. I have heard many positive testimonies about ATP. I currently don't have a BA or BS and was wondering if there will be time for that once I get a job working for a part 135 company or a 121 puddle jumper? Are there any of you guys out there who have all the ratings and no degree yet and are currently working on one? I apprecaitate any feedback. |

It can be done flying at the airlines, but it will consume most if not all of your free time on days off and layovers if you want to put in the proper effort. |
Yea it's possible and from what I hear from a couple of buddies of mine it's actually much easier to do it online because you only have like 1 class a week to turn in your assignments. I guess it's all self study. Still, I would rather have the college experience than buying it online.

My gf finished her degree online through Phoenix...I can tell you she put more time in that course every week than she would have by attending an actual class. There were papers, 'group assignments', discussions you had to log on to and contribute, etc. She's considering a Master's next year and has no desire to do online again. I wouldn't want to do what she did. Not to mention missing out on the college experience. You're only young once and will be working the rest of your life! I'd tell anyone to go and have some fun at college first...

Then I read your post. Good for your girlfriend. Best of luck to her in her masters program. Is a wedding in the future? -LAFF |

I got so excited when I saw you had posted on an ATP thread. I thought - finally he's ready to endorse them.

I just took a tour of there PHX location. Im sold on the idea of getting my ratings at ATP. The staff are friendly and they have the planes readily available.

Cha-ching! Wow, a school is trying to get you to spend over $50K for ratings and they were nice? Say it ain't so...
