Looking for accelerated CFI.
Can commute anywhere Monday through Friday. Must be in Cincinnati on Saturday and Sunday. Any recommendation is appreciated. Thanks.

You are going to hear this a lot - CFI is not something you should accelerate or shortcut. And that is true. That being said you're probably going to look for one anyway so, there are some you should definitely stay away from. But there are some that seem to be decent. The one below is one that someone in my family went to and had a very positive experience. Note there is quite a bit of home/online study before attending the onsite program. All material was covered in depth, and they have a first time checkride pass rate of over 90%.

Given the the schedule and geographic limitation, why not just find an experienced local CFI who can devote a lot of time to you for a month or so?
The accelerated CFI programs typically involve you working closely with several other trainees. That's not going to work well if you're gone two days/week. |
I don't have any geographic limitations. I would be willing to train anywhere. I work for Delta Part time and can commute, but have to be in CVG for my weekend shifts.
Accelerated was probably the wrong choice of words. I did all of my other training at a small FBO, but would like to gain the comradre of a class setting or academy as I try to experience as many varying teaching and learning styles. Thanks Rickair for the response |

American Flyers has a good CFI program. If you only do the CFI and save the CFII for later it is a two week program.
Just take two weekends off from work and get it done |

What are the possible and "normal" routes to get your CFI?
There are the various academies, what else? What about the guy who lives in rural South Dakota/WY/edge-of-nowhere? Asking for a friend... |
