There’s no requirement for multi PIC time for a multi ATP in the FAA system. You do have to have 250 hours PIC in airplanes. You can count SIC acting as PIC under supervision towards the 250 requirement. I have no idea how you document that to the FAA’s satisfaction.

That has to be done pro-actively, ie you had to plan on doing it before you do it since the actual has to allow you to "act" as PIC under his supervision.

The FAA should accept a letter or logsheet signed by the PIC noting that you performed the duties of PIC under his supervision. That's the easy part. The harder part is that the airline may have some rules/restriction on that sort of thing... folks have gotten in trouble doing this at regionals, their bro hooked them up but when the FAA saw it (at upgrade time) they were concerned that unauthorized training was being conducted by non check airmen. At least one regional instituted a formal procedure for this (back when FO's could get hired with 200 hours).

Thanks a lot for your help.
But tell me how many hours do I require to get multi endorsement for issuance of FAA atp
And do I need to give atp exam first or I can fly multi on the FAA PPL.

I have enough hours for issue of FAA ATPL it’s just the initial issue of FAA is different from ICAO one that’s what making the confusion.

There's no requirement for an instructor endorsement for a FAA ATP unless it’s also for a type rating. If you are getting an FAA type rating along with the ATP you will go through a part 142 training program and the number of hours will be whatever the training syllabus requires.

And there is no set order of written exam and then training or training and then written exam.

Any update to this? How did it fare for you?

I’m in the exact same situation a year later, and I’m desperate for a few answers 😔
