it looks like the Lift academy website has been updated, instead of guaranteeing a FO position at REpublic, they are now offering preferred pathway, which makes the school, just another school, which is a shame because they had a nice fleet of diamonds. I think they even have the AC option.
For those looking for some stability, it might be better to stick out your desk job and CFI over weekends. It might take you 5 years, but at least you’ll be a little better off for the time being.

And to the other poster, no, our DA40s do not have the AC option. I’m not sure how that rumor started. Three out of the five DA42s do have AC though so maybe that’s where it came from?

The original leased 40's had AC before our own arrived, I guess if someone was talking/visiting in the early days they might have seen it?

As of right now there are no Lift finance options. Note that there is also no longer reimbursement from Republic either, so the cost is now $85k rather than $65k.

I am glad I left LIFT then. My tuition ended up being $16000 for 35 hours of flight which took 6 months (4 months if you exclude the 2 months they were shut down for covid ). I don't even have the private license yet. I made myself available 24/7 on call for getting my hours so I did not get a job .
All current students are bound by the contracts they signed. Most contracts indicate that tuition is based on how many months you have been at the program , and not the amount of hours or ratings you have accomplished.
Because of this, I know guys who are stuck there, because if they left they'd pay over 40K even though they don't have their PPL.

Its sad to see how things have changed. They have a new class starting this month and it sounds like many are pulling out because Lift removed the finance option and they cannot get funded elsewhere.

85K with no financing option? If true, there is zero reason to attend LIFT anymore when there are plenty of other programs out there that cost less and provide financing options. It looks like a blessing that attending LIFT didnt work out for me. This is really a shame, i thought the program had alot of potential.

I believe the 65k will still be offered to previously accepted students who start before the end of this year. After that only 85k and 2 year degree program. 65k is no longer advertised. Although this could all change in a few years once demand for pilots comes back strong.
