Good luck to the current CFIs there, and the dozens of current students that will become CFIs in the next couple months. The whole virus situation had already drastically reduced the number of students coming to the program. We already knew that the current and future CFIs will have a really hard time next year to find students to build their hours. Now with the increased tuition (85 instead of 65), and no financing, LIFT just made their life 10X worse. Perhaps on purpose, hoping CFIs start dropping out of the program.

ATP-Fast. But high loan payments and bad CFI pay. Dont know the exact cost for 2020
LIFT-OK CFI pay. Subsidized cost. But 5 year contract with Republic. Don't what exactly happens if you break the contract.
Lufthansa Flight Training-Relatively unknown. $105k estimated cost. Don't know if CFI job is guaranteed and if I need IASA or European residency. Not exactly sure if there would be a contract with Lufthansa or not.

Oh and I'm pretty much broke.
Need guidance folks.
Any update on going the ATP route?

Also, is LIFT still having difficulty hiring students that have completed the program as new CFI's?

I'd guess both LIFT and ATP are having issues hiring their students.

Surprised LIFT is still around. Who is still paying premium prices with such a depressing pilot job market?

When did LIFT stop giving the $20k subsidy discount from the tuition price?

Early last year soon after the hiring stopped. Also I believe you are no longer guaranteed a CFI job.

Kinda makes the incentive to a 5 year commitment not worth it now...

That commitment also went away along with the guaranteed job. Just another expensive flight school now.

Are people still using these schools? I'm really curious if they are still busy or if things have slowed down.

Hey guys, I wanted to start a new thread regarding flight schools. Are new users unable to create new topics?

Thanks.
