Default FFS count towards multi-engine TT?

I have 19 AMEL hours, need 50 total for my ATP multi. I have 6 hours in a FFS full motion A320 sim (ATPCTP), which gets me to 25 as of today. I plan to get the other 25 multi during my type rating, which is very common. At my check ride I'll end up with 19AMEL & 31 in FFS; is all good to qualify for my ATP? Just making sure I don't need more time in an actual multi engine airplane before I go to training. (At my interview they said I would be fine)

Thanks!

You can only count 25 hours in a FFS towards the 50

You would still need 6 hours as only 25 in a sim can count toward atp minimums. So you would need 25 in the airplane. I believe it doesn’t have to all be PIC so the AMEL training counts as well, hope this helps!

The employer ( a regional I assume) has the final say. They *can* allow sim ME towards the ATP, but they do not *have* to. Most allow the 25 hours now.

But it happens that the recruiters say you have enough hours but then on checkride day the APD (who actually knows the regs in detail) determines that you're missing some ME time. People have been sent home to go get more ME airplane time.

As Switch said you need 25 in a real airplane... recruiters may have missed that but the APD and FAA will not.

Look over your ME time carefully, make sure it all adds up, and make sure of details such as not logging the entire flight as safety pilot, if applicable. You don't want to get sent home. Yes you can log student AMEL before you go the ME rating, but don't change an entry your instructor signed without talking to him first... that will stand out in your logbook.
