I don't know if that's commonly done, if you're looking for a PPL for recreational purposes.

You can get financing for a career training package which would include the PPL as a necessary prerequisite, ie PPL/IR/CPL + CFIs.

I'd call around to some schools and ask, maybe somebody does it.

It's by not financing it.

I guess the real question is why would you want to finance your PPL and not the rest of your flight training unless specifically you don't plan to move on further? If you just plan to fly for fun or figure you want to get your PPL before you dip your toe into the bigger pool I somewhat understand. However depending on where you live it might just be easier to pay as you go or save up and do it all in one personally financed run. In some cases, as it was for me a year ago before pricing went crazy: Cheapest way ended up being to buy a 172 and fly the hours needed for my PPL/IR instead of renting.

PPL is one rating I would not borrow money for. If continuing with IR, CPL, etc you may finance through Sallie May via ATP but I wouldn't borrow for PPL.
