Restarting Flight School
Hello everyone,
2 years ago I had to stop my flight training for multiple reason Covid, Money, The school, etc... I stop flying right after my solo..
I am finally in a better place to pick up my training again with hopes of one day landing my dream job with Delta.
I never stop studying and I am confident I can pass my written.
I plan to
Get my first class medical
to take the written (I have sportys)
before the year is up.
but can't decided if I should do ATP in Charlotte (quoted me 50k) or go back to a local school.
My first local school really took me for a ride/ my first instructor pretty much use me for hours and my second instructor was in the process of moving and was burning through my money. There was also a lot of drama between instructors didn't really make it a fun places to go into.
I plan to pay for this with my rental property equity loan.
also any school recommendations would help.

Local schools are usually cheaper but it sounds like the first one that you went to wasn't so great. If you can find a different local school that may be better.
ATP has a strict curriculum that their students need to follow but they have lots of aircraft and will cost a little more.
Large schools like ATP tend to have connections with various DPEs and can make it a little easier to get scheduled for your checkride, especially now with the shortages.
I would say go with whoever is going to get you done the fastest at the price point you can afford.
