Size Limits?

I am wondering how roomy the cockpits are in larger airplanes. I am 6'4" and quite large(290lbs). I fit in a 172SP fine, but 2 my size rub shoulders a bit. How are the regional jets and larger as far as room goes? Also, do any of the airlines have pilot size limits? Like no pilots over 350lbs or something?

This is a great question. I'm 6'5", 250lbs, and was fortunate enough to sit in the right seat of a Citation X a couple months ago. It didn't take me long to realize that if I was going to be making a career out of that, it would be one painful journey...hunched over the controls, knees feeling like they're up around my ears. I haven't had a chance to try anything else out, but in a few months I'll let you know about the EMB 120 :D

I've never heard of any limits(besides the military and a parachute jumping operation). Plus you have to be able to perform all the required duties, and if your size is restricting to a critical duty, then that could be a problem.
