if you're looking to get special treatment from ATP, forget about it.... If you want your certs and ratings in 90 days... go for it... I know it's $50,000 and believe me, i see how many zeroes there are, but are you lookin to get your ratings? or to be treated like a king? keep in mind, if you don't go there, somebody else will.

Actually ATP has the largest fleet of aircraft in the country if I am not mistaken. When I was there in '05, we had almost 20 cessnas, and something like 90 seminoles between 20+ locations. I finished the program in 88 days, and I had time off. If I would have worked straight through it would have been more like 75. When I was a student there, no one finished over 90 days. There were some that were removed from the program, but that is a different story.

Well back when I went there, at Craig, in '07, that is how it was, and it is even worse now.
Sorry to get your kool-aid drinking panties in a bunch.

"Kool aid drinking panties" for ATP? Haven't heard that one yet, and I would say that I am far from that. I went there as a student, then instructed for 18 months. There are plenty of issues that I have with ATP. I have gotten in many a phone arguements with Jim about some things that he and I did not see eye to eye on. There are some current programs and policies that I here they are doing now that I disagree with. It was still a great place to go and get your ratings. I had alot of fun with the guys I flew with, and going on cross countries all over the country. My post that you commented about was just talking about their fleet of aircraft, nothing more, nothing less.

I went to ATP and I would Highly Recommend it to anyone. My first flight in an Airplane was April 4th this year, now I'm sitting right seat of a E145....Now you can say what you want but NOWHERE, repeat NOWHERE else can do that. They did everything they told me they would do! PPL in 60days I got it in 32days PMEL, Instrument, Comm ME&SE, CFI, CFII, MEI in 90dayd I did it in 76days. That being Said I already had a degree in aviation so the learning curve wasn't as steep.
There's a reason the NEED to schedule you an Interview, which was already touched on earlier. When you get there the instructors are not there to present you the sugar coated information, they're there to answer questions. They tend to do that to the best of their abilities. Now do understand there are some things that they probably won't know because they don't care about ie. pricing and where the company is going...ect. They care about teaching students and getting written exams proctored and answering your questions about FLYING. Not about what happened to U in 1985!
It's not for everyone and some don't make it. Go there with a positive mind and U'll be ok. Remember it's a school, just because you paid 54K doesn't mean you can do what the hell you want to. When U're in college the professor says do something you do it. You go to Lab some equipment don't work, he/she says we'll get it fixed and do it tomorrow, you say fine. Same attitude here, an instructor says do something Do it. Plane broke they'll fix it and you'll be on your marry way. Just because you paid 54K doesn't mean you're God Gift to the school. People with that attitude tend to have problems with the program and end up failing many checkrides, because they're worried about stuff that shouldn't matter.
