In which aircraft should I train?
Ok I will be attending college in the fall. And I would also be getting a private pilot's license. They offer 3 different aircrafts which I can choose to train on. They are: C 152, C172, C182. My question is which one should I train on?

I'd go with the cheapest for your Private. That being said, I'm no fan of the 152 and some people just don't fit in that kite. The 172 is a great trainer and will prepare you well.
You won't need to touch the 182 until your commercial single and unless you just want to take it up for fun (and have the money) I'd just wait until then to fly it.
Oh and don't forget to have fun in college...

If you can train in the C152 and do the Xcountries in a C172 do it.. It shouldnt be a problem... The only problem I have with the C152 is any flight after 2+hours is uncomfortable and extremely cramped even when I fly the C172 for that long my back starts aching..

You got it!...thats the sequence you should follow. The 152 its amazing. If you are not a "big person" thats perfect for you. Long x-counties mught get a little unconfortable but you will save big bucks.
I'd use the 172 for the IFR portion and the 182 ONLY to get my high performance endorsement.
Most likely you are aldo going to add a 172 RG to the list for the "Complex"
training.

aye, it's all about comfort and money... what everyone has said is right, I woulnd't even look at 182 for quite awhile.
the 152 and the 172 are pretty much the same airplane... the only difference is the comfort level, the 172 is a little bit bigger and roomier, but it also costs more.
as far as which one is best for training, there is no right answer.

Nah, stick with the 152 for X-C also. It's slower, more time, and it's still cheaper. I always had my students go somewhere, take a break, then return if it was 2+ hours anyways.
