Flight Scholarships?

Does anyone have any information on where I would be able to find some flight scholarships? I have heard of numerous people getting aviation scholarships from various organizations and as hard as I serached, I have only found half a dozen. From what I have heard, some offer money and others offer paid training (such as type ratings for a beech jet or citation). If anyone has any leads on a good source or site that I could fiund more information I would greatly appreciate it.

Our association gives out $2500 grants every once in a while. I'm pretty sure you have to be a member though, which if you live in the area is a good thing. Also, they put links up of various aviation scholorship programs that are run in the local area. Up until recently they had a Coachella Valley aviation scholorship up on the site.

Also, if you are prior military don't forget about Imagine America's MAP scholorships.

I'd take a look at the local pilots association in your area. That's how I got 2/3 of my pilot training and my start in this world.

I'm stopping by their meeting next Wednesday to see how they are doing. Most of them are on the older side, so hopefully I won't cause any heart attacks.
