Need Multi Time?
 

Hey Everyone,
I have a block of 50 hours worth of multi time bought that I no longer need. It's through a company called Aerial Survey Inc., and it's the cheapest twin time around. $60/hr, all PIC in a twin comanche. There is a 6 month waiting list to get time with them... I've been on since July, but I just got hired at an airline, so I no longer need the multi time. I'm on the schedule for January 14th through the end of the month at the Galveston, TX location. So let me guess, you are paying $60/hr to fly their airplanes for their survey operation. Sounds like you are subsidising their business. I know everyone wants to get the time done, but ugh... If my assumptions are wrong, feel free to correct me and give me a good internet beating.

This operation doesn't degrade the profession. From what I understand, that thing goes whether or not there is a time builder in there. Whether it is valuable time is another question, though.

Regardless of your opinion of the company (I know nothing about it so I can't make any judgments), the Twin Comanche is an awesome airplane. It'll offer some really great experience to anyone who flies it. What other airplane out there has two engines, burns 14 g/hr and trues out at 160....I miss flying it.

3Gs would be better spent on an RJ course...there is one I know of that is only about 3K. At least you're not paying for the "privilege" to make money for someone else's business--and instead you'd be getting some sim time. In addition, an RJ course would get anyone a lot closer to a job than 50 hrs of VFR multi (yeah, that's right...they pretty much don't do surveys unless they can see the oil rigs/drills...thus it's prob mostly VFR).

UMMM PFT and oh yeah PFT, and maybe we should all just starting paying for the privilage of flying for the airlines, this is pathetic.
