FMS Training Software

Curious is there any downloadable software that one can use as a training aid for FMS

I know you can buy it somewhere... I had to for a class I took in college for "cockpit automation". If I remember correctly it was pretty ridiculously priced... if you can find something else (free) go for it, but if not PM me and I can go find my copy and tell you the maker.

I dont know of any for free, typically they are sold for hundred of dollars. In my case flight safety sent me one before class that was an online version and that cost I believe 300 bucks (I did not pay for it).

IMO I thought it was useless and if I paid for it I would have been dissapointed, you learn more in the CPT and the sim. I found our fms to be fairly intuitive and not that difficult to learn.

Avsoft sells one, but as was said before I dont think you would wanna spend that kind of money on a computer program....

Anything out there for the E190 or A320?

If your gonna be on the CRJ, and you wanna drop 50 bucks, buy the Wilco CRJ for FS 2004, its got an almost fully functional FMS, I had no issues at all in ground training after using the CRJ for a few months prior to applying.

When I started 757/767 training, they told us NOT to mess around with any other FMS training other than the company provided materials. I guess the chance for negative training isn't worth it unless you are sure it will be exactly the same as the equipment you'll be flying.
