CFI training tips
Just started CFI training, im at the point where im just getting comfortable with flying right seat, and starting to figure out how to put together a good lesson plan. Does anybody have any tips though, just to try to expedite the process.
Thanks for any help

Too broad of a spectrum here, but a "catch-all" advise is obviously never stop learning and trying to improve on your personal skills. Enthusism goes a long way in everything you do, and remember that students are always trying to kill you!

Try teaching friends who are not pilots, it will remind you to keep it simple, and give you new ideas and ways to explain complicated topics. It also probably will cause you to find ways to make it more interesting and fun - since the person is probably not going to be motivated and will easily fall asleep just like teaching a flight instructor who has had steep turns taught to him/her 5,343,900 times.
Another tip, great emphasis is taken on being able to talk while flying, not have a conversation about life, but about what your doing and why. You don't have to always say the right stuff, just show you can do both and speak somewhat intelligently and later on the job (flight instructing) you will learn the "right" things to say at the "right" times.
To help with the talking/flying aspect, while driving your car (by your self) talk about what your doing and why - this skill transfers over quite nicely.
Know part 61 well.

www.slantgolf.com, scroll to the bottom, Jedi Nein's CFI Page, scroll down to the lesson plans. Enjoy as the changed plans are slowly going up this week.

"Try teaching friends who are not pilots,"---BAD IDEA if you plan on trying to teach them from the right seat as practice remember you should never have someone in the left seat who cannot be PIC or until you are a CFI not just a CFI canidate
The talking part is what will help you the most in the car, in the plane, when ever just talk out loud about what and why you are doing something
