radio communications

Hi everybody.
Simple question here, after a long time grounded for different reasons, tomorrow I start flying again.
English is my second language and I need to know if somebody knows where can I listen to ATC,TOWER,CLEARANCE communications so I can train my ears on my laptop and no in the air which is pretty expensive.
Thank you:)

ebay... also, go talk to people in a tower. get to know them. when I first started training I was TERRIFIED of radio calls. Then one day, I went to a tower and found out that they are just as human too... it helped.

For those of you instructors out there who have students who seem to fumble over the radio all the time or seem timid or even scared to hit that push-to-talk button...this is a great technique for showing them that the guys barking orders up in that scary tower are just real people.

I found that scheduling times for my students to go up and meet the people looking down on everybody was a very useful lesson. Sometimes all it takes is just to find out that the controller is human, too!

Thanks a lot for you imput, actually I was never afraid of communication, but trying in another language is a little bit of a barrier.Today I'll schedulle a visit to the control tower.

Sorry, didn't mean you personally. I'm sure you're not 'scared' of ATC as I put it!!

I just wanted to say that I've used this trick several times and know others who do also. It just helps to see that talking to ATC is not much different than talking to your instructor.

Besides, for us flying enthusiasts, the view of the airport is pretty cool! Good luck!
