Where are intructors needed!? The MOST?

I continue to hear about the shortage of CFI's, hell instructors period, and I was wondering where are the needed the most, and who's paying the most? Which of these are located withinange of a college? It doesn't matter what type of degrees they offer, but business would be good. Also, how many hours would you be able to build due to the demand? I aak because I'm currently in Florida, but considering relocating. And I was wondering where's the best places to go to one: train, and two; instruct. One other thing, do they have twin-engines? If so, how many?

I actually just got a post card in the mail from Embry-Riddle offering free tuition, free MEI, and a sign on bonus if I flight instruct there. I'm actually considering transferring because of it. It sounds too good to be true though. There will definitely be some sort of contract involved.

I'd say that colleges need them the most. The small town airports seem to have lifetime CFI's or retirees available. With colleges, everyone's goal is to go to the airlines or military, not teach. No one is staying around after they graduate.

Depending on where you go, Multi time can be hard to come by. My university does most of the training in singles, but everyone has to get the ME rating before graduating. So we put out a lot of Commercial-Multi pilots, but there are few twins around here so the time is hard to build. Some schools do most of their training in a twin, so you wouldn't have that problem.
