Phoenix East Aviation

I am interested in Phoenix East and I am wondering how far will my VA benifits get me?

VA benefits will refund you roughly 25K after you come out of your own pocket. I've done the math and intend on going to any one of the military flying clubs.

Long time ago when I was looking at schools I went down and checked it out in Daytona. Really not too impressed. Remember to not be fooled by glossy brochures. Look at cost and number of planes on ramp vs students. You need to fly as much as possible, not only will this help you finish quicker but you stay proficient which saves money.

I do not go there, but someone told me that there a lot of foreign students there. He said that most of these students were on student visas, so they had a limited amount of time to complete everything. When it came to aircraft scheduling, this guy said he would get bumped from his aircraft in favor of an international student periodically. That's all I have heard about it.

I have heard this as well (not at this particular school, but any school that have foreigners) In some sense it kind of deters me to go to a school that trains international students, but at the same time, most of the better known schools have these international contracts. So really when it comes down to it, i will not base my decision on international/non-international students.

I think it would be wise to consider. If you get bumped from your aircraft on a regular basis, it will take you longer to finish. That will mean that you will have to pay more for housing while in training. That will also translate into being hired at a later date, losing a little career earning potential, and lose what could be valuable seniority considering the economic times we are now facing. It could mean missing the hiring window for your preferred regional. I think you need to consider it.
