What flight school in the south is best for building hours as a flight instructor?
At the moment I'm a student at Phoenix East Aviation in Daytona Beach, Florida. Working on my multi-commercial at the moment (I already have PPL single/multi with instrument rating). After that's done I need to look at where I can get hired, and which schools have good working environments and possibilities for getting a lot of hours, preferably a lot of multi-engine as well.
The original plan was to instruct at Phoenix East, but I want to take other schools into consideration as well as to not put all my eggs into one basket.
That said, I'm looking at schools that will hire a foreign citizen (I currently hold a J-1 Visa that's valid for 1.5 more years), that has a good working environment with the possibility of getting at least 100 hours a month or so.
For the most part staying in Florida would be a good thing for me, as I don't have to move that far, but I've also wanted to live in California (San Diego, etc).
In Florida the ones I know of are Orlando Flight training, some local ones, Ari-Ben, and some down in Miami.
Anyone have any good experiences to share?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, we are in DIRE need of CFI's at this point.
We have ALOT of students and not enough instructors.
Which is good for the CFI's as we bill loads of hours. However, FSA needs to offer some sort of incentive up front, like CFI/II/MEI PAID FOR.
They reimburse on the II and MEI, except for me, PM for details on that one.
Its not a bad gig.

I've heard good things of this place down in New Smyrna Beach.

They do a TON of training for international students, so I bet they wouldn't have any problem hiring someone with a work visa.
Good Luck and don't forget to have some fun! CFIing is the way to go!

I can vouch for Epic Aviation, awesome people with a good atmosphere... Riddle also hire people with work visa but is part142-but it has a good benefit program, plus signing in bonuses. Being that we are here in Daytona; I wouldnt mind heading down to south florida VRB... but if you cant try Epic..
