Farmers

Farmers are always landing where ever they want on their farms. However keep in mind that most insurance policies and aircraft FBO's require certified airports.

Landing off airport is a great way to get into all kinds of trouble.

Hi!

At my airline, with one of our aircraft types, we land and take off off-airport on some of our missions.

Land anywhere

I recently completed my initial CFI and while doing the practical, the FAA Inspector pointed to an "other than congested area" and asked if we can land there. I told him NO because of 91.119. He then told me to re-examine 91.119 (c) when we got on the ground. Then said we could land anywhere in an "other than congested area" for as long as we were 500' from structures and people, and as long as it was not over open water.
