Default DAE Flight Academy in UAE

Does anyone know anything about DAE Flight Academy near Dubai in the UAE? They are training in the Cirrus and also in the Eclipse VLJ. I have enough hours to get hired by the regionals, I just can't afford it! Working at a school where the senior instructors fly the Eclipe jet would be a more affordable way to get twin turbine pic I think?

Not yet I guess. I hear publishers pay good money for childrens books like "Arun and the Majic Frog". Hope that helps.

Classic! Maybe that is how I can afford to go to the regionals.

I could be wrong but I think this school is run by the former head of the standards department at Delta Connection Academy. If I am correct then I know two things about it. Hard guy to work for but the standard of training will be high but here's the kicker; last I knew they had video cameras installed in the aircraft to monitor students and CFI's during the lessons.....

Thanks for the response. I am interested because I am not sure if I can afford to work for the regionals in the US, and so I am trying to figure out how I can get some turbine experience. DAE teaches part of the program in the Eclipse jet. I might just have to get creative and go to the regionals here.

I considered applying before taking my current job. The one thing that held me back was that they required a three-year contract to be signed. The pay, however, was great. Including your living stipend it is somewhere around $60,000 USD per year tax free (if you're a U.S. Citizen). Their website is:

Airline Pilot Training Institute, Commercial Pilot Training Dubai

The guy to contact is Raymond Thompson. He was the former Associate Department Head at Purdue University's Aviation Technology Department.

Thanks for the info. I submitted an application about a month ago and have not heard back. Perhaps I should follow up. I have over 900 TT with 150 ME and 560 dual given, so I was a little surprised when I did not get any response at all.

Out of curiosity, have you heard anything back from them?

I still have not heard anything. Maybe they have been deluged with more qualified applicants. I have 1200 hrs with 300 multi and over 800 dual given. Should I re-apply?
