Do the JAA ATPL theory at Oxford, then when you've got that done taking your FAA exams will be a piece of cake.

Oxford has the best notes and resources bar none, when it comes to the theory exams.

I've seen NAC's notes, talked to their Ground School Instructor and I ended up spending the extra for OAT's course. Without any regrets.

I'm looking to do the training in florida or at least in US not in England...
So anyone's got real experienced feedbacks on NAC and their JAA & FAA program?

cheers

C'mon kid do the math. That's less than 5 hrs of flight time per week. I'm not knocking or saying anything bad about the school b/c I used to live in Naples and had checked them out. Good outfit...I just believe that you can get more bang for your buck in a shorter amount of time and still receive quality instruction.

My advice...do a little bit more comparative shopping.

All the best.

i know but i would have to take in consideration that there is a lot of ground training due to the level of difficulty of the JAA (760h in 30 weeks!)... anyway i looked pretty much all of them and in my top 3 are:
Flight Safety Academy (gets even more expensive if i want to do the JAA conversion)
Naples Air Center (long but i can everything at the same time , JAA & FAA)
Epic (not really expensive but the JAA conversion is in distance learning which is useless)...

would you have any advices i could consider regarding some flight schools in florida knowing that my main concerns are: a good structured ground school, one instructor by student if possible, getting the JAA & FAA CPL multi to get into the airlines...?

thanks

I am aware of the level of difficulty in terms of attempting to aquire JAA licenses, certs, and ratings. I do not know the specifics, just the generalities. I'm sure one of the Moderators, primarily rickair7777, has a wealth of information about your particular concerns.

If you wish, check out London Aviation located at Naples Airport and you may want to give Ariben Aviator a call. Ariben is located in Ft.Pierce, FL and also has a JAA program. Just Google both schools and you should be directed to their websites.

Hope this helps.

i've checked out the Ariben Aviator school and it seems to be the same or associated to the EFT (European Flight Training school) and their JAA pro program is the same and both are at the same address... do you know anything about that? it seems a bit weird to me...

bodarek2007:

I did speak a flight instructor/customer service and was informed that Ariben Aviator does have the JAA Pro Pilot program at their facility. The majority of the students are from India however, I do believe there are a few from Europe as well.

What I did to assist you was to use the search engine "Ask Geeves". I typed 'list of florida flight schools' and it came up with a pretty lengthy list. To narrow your search, just add "with a JAA program". From that point, those that are listed, give'em a call.

Remember you looking to spend the least amount of money to achieve a desired result. Look at success/failure ratio, maintenance records, safety records, check with the BBB.

Hopes this helps. If there's anything else.......just holla!!!
