Default instrument oral

i got an oral guide for the instrument(its a rather small book) and most of the information is either basics for instrument thaw as covered in the written or its private pilot information. the other book i have is instrument approach procedures. that is like a textbook format so i went through the far's and tried to highlight what was important. im not sure what to study exactly since i havnt started training for the practical. does nebody know any good references for information?
