Why would a sport pilot ground school cost $1500. I mean, you could just do it with DVD disks and books. And, don't ever pay for flight time in advance. And, there's no mountain's in Florida.

I guess you could get an attorney and threaten to sue the guy.

2718382 CFII exp. 08/06. What can I do? Any suggestions? I just wanted to get back into General Aviation and become a Sport Pilot. My CFI seems to have ended my flying adventure!

Assuming that this guy is as big a scumbag as he sounds like...you could check with the local FAA FSDO. They do not have jurisdiction over civil money matters, but if they decide they are ****ed off at him they could probably start reviewing his records and maybe find a violation or two, maybe get his license pulled. Especially if he has an ATP.

Good call going with a company that doesn't have an office, but only lists a PMB. - 1643 N. Alpine Rd. Ste. 104, PMB 137 Rockford, IL 61107. Did you meet at Starbucks to conduct ground school?

This quote was classic of their site about the instrument rating:

Why three weeks?.....because the instrument rating is the most important rating you'll ever get..."
Buyer beware......
