What to do....

I did my PPL part 61. Just finished IR part 141. I want to do my commercial in a twin. Should I do it part 61 or 141. From what I understand, part 141 requires less hours but more dual. Should I do a ME add on first to log PIC? HELP..My school is 141 and 61

Thanks

I like to think it makes more sense to get your single commercial before the multi commercial .... not only is it cheaper, but its also fewer check rides.

I would also say that if all things aside, going 141 for your commercial usually has the most advantages... getting your commercial at 190 hours vs. 250, that saves a lot of time and money overall.

... I was a part 61'er

the commercial makes the most sense to do 141. i got hired at my first CFI job with 207 hrs. I did my multi comm first with a single engine add on, but only because that's how my university did it. It is definately more expensive, but it made me a whole lot more confident. I had plenty of time in a single and i really think that flying a multi is a whole lot more responsibility than just an add on. this also made me a better MEI when the time came. finances are important though, but i liked the way we did it.
