I'm a current cfi student there. Some things that they do are iffy. No fuel hawks to check fuel. They just fill it to tabs and call it good on the arrows. Some of the arrows have no working glide slope or vor. Another has 1 radio stack broken. There are multiple inop stickers in some. My instructor doesn't work on weekends unless he "has to". If I wasn't so far along I would go to a different school... not sure about the 172s though.

Something tells me the guy has about 6000 hours by now and is no longer looking to train in 172s

You expect your instructor to work 7 days a week?
