Default American Flyers Alumni - Please HELP!

Hello,
I am currently working on my private license, but will be switching schools in a few months. Please give me any input you can on American Flyers. Good or bad.

Thank you!

SMO used to be ok for CFI training, but the management has changed since.

Corporate managemnet, yes. A few local branches may be OK if they are run by good people.

local flight instructor at a local FBO is a AF product. 19 or 20 years old CFII but considered the biggest dumb** pilot around. they teach you how to pass a ride. not to have knowledge and be able to instruct.

The guy being a dumb*** is only a reflection on his own personal character and attitude, not the guys that trained him. There are bad apples in every tree. If he has any sense of humility, he'd pick up on the fact that he doesn't know anything and learn from the more experienced people around him at the FBO.

Unfortunately, we work in an industry that attracts some of the most arrogant people alive.

Fly safe and remain teachable.
