Since you point to the terms of the outcome of Gulf War Version 1.00, perhaps you can explain to me exactly how we were defending the US in that war.

Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, we dump some serious energy on two of their cities and kicked their ass from island to island. That's the kind of military I would join. Playing cop so some distant country can preserve their sovereignty is not the type of military I would join. I'm all for strategic alliances, but only when the ally could actually pony up some real muscle if we were to be attacked.

We were actually defending the principle of national sovereignity, and Saudia Arabia (ie Oil).

And none of us in the service really like being cops either, but that's what has to done under the current circumstances.

I can't, I think it works both ways. Not sure, but I think you need 25 posts?

I understand the concept of national sovereignty, but that also goes to leaving a sovereign nation alone even if they are doing things you don't agree with. Do you think we are respecting Iran's rights as a sovereign nation?

I still have yet to understand how we were defending the US. I support those who are willing to give themselves to service, but I think this nation's leadership has some serious issues to be exposing our people to harm for anything other than protecting the sovereignty of our nation.
