High altitude signoff

High altitude signoff
One of my bosses lost his medical due to high blood pressure. However his CFI is still current. I know you can be CFI in an aircraft without a medical so long as the other guy is rated for it. I'm already leaning against no. However is it possible to get my high altitude signoff from him? I don't knwo the requirements for that one. I've been hopping in the merlin with the big boss because he has a few k hours in it. However he isn't a CFI. He can't always go either and they will want me to fly it. What are the regs on getting your high altitude?

TD,
For the HA endorsement, you need to have the ground and flight training as specified in FAR 61.31(g).
By my guess, your boss that doesn't have his CFI can't conduct the training and endorse you, since he isn't a rated instructor. (Unless he has an instructor designation for 135/121 operations).
Your other boss that doesn't have his medical can conduct the required ground training, but not the flight training since he can't act as PIC without a medical (and you can't since the regs require you to fly above 25,000' for the training, which you can't do until you have the endorsement).
