The CFI practical test standards specify what the DE must see on the ride. Obviously, it's the examiner's call, and if you're CFI/MEI, then I guess he could require anything to be demonstrated/instructed. One of the other threads/posts mentioned a FSDO believing they had to do it themselves. I'd hate to argue with them, but you needn't. Just find a DE who's rated for CFI checks (they're out there), and use that person. Best wishes, Zach |
Thanks
Thanks for everyones input. I "had" a CFI/CFII so it sounds like the II ride would be the best route for an airline guy.
If anyone can recommend a Flight School and or a DE in the Denver area, please post or email me at [email protected]. Thanks again for your help steve |
Find a DE that is an airline pilot for a living. They may be more understanding of your situation and understand the differences in jet 121 vs. prop 91 flying. I know there is a CAL DE in the Denver area everyone talks about. I don't remember his name. He's a 777 FO, like me. You can search for DE's via the web. I need a reinstatment too, but I'm no where near Denver.
