Recommendations in Los Angeles

Can anyone recommend any flight schools in the Los Angeles area? I live in the SF Valley, so something close to here would be ideal. Maybe something in Van Nuys or Whitman.

I am planning to do the schooling part-time, but not for career-purposes (at this time)

Have you tried going to Van Nuys airport and seeing around? I reckon they must have allot of flight schools.
