$34/hour...working a 40 hour week. Without doing the math I believe it works out to about 70K/year.

Smaller part 61 school pay started at $25/hr, after 6 months $30/hr. and charge the same for ground school...

I cant believe that universities and part 141 schools pay only 10-17/hr...why are they the least paid, when it costs the most to attend?!

Because the universities spend the money on buying the "best" aircraft with glass panels so they can advertise they are the "best" university. Insurance is expensive too because they hire low time CFIs and have expensive aircraft.

As a low time CFI at a university, especially in this economy, you can't really go elsewhere to instruct while still taking college classes. So, you take the $10/hour and accept the fact that you are at least building good time.

22 hour no gauranteed students or pay

small 61/141 AZ, $25 per hour for 61. $20 per hour (contractual guarantee based on stage checks) for 141.
