In my opinion the best order to do it in is to get your private, night, commercial, then instructor. The sooner you can get working the better. The advantage to this is that you'll be gaining good PIC experience and can work on your other ratings while working. This being said most schools that you would work at can give you discounts towards training and possible free sim time! :D

In the US night is built into the PVT, COMM and ATP. No additional rating.
