Any jobs in Canada?

Hey there.

At this time I'm a flight instructor in Daytona, but my visa is about to expire (at the end of August), and therefore I need to look around for another job.
Problem is that very few flight schools in the US will hire me with a new M1 visa, so I've been looking at possible jobs in Canada.

Does anyone know of any jobs, either flight instructor or anything else, for a commercial single/multi/instrument, flight instructor single/multi/instrument with 400-500 hours in Canada?

As far as I hear, converting to Canadian licenses from the FAA is quite a breeze.

I'm assuming (although its not 100% clear from your post) that you're not a Canadian citizen? Much like in the US, you will require the right to hold employment in Canada in order to get a job here.

You're correct that the conversion process is rather simple now and is a matter of writing two differences tests and obtaining the medical. Details on the process can be found here: Flight Crew Licensing - Conversion Agreement between U.S. and Canada

Much like the US, hiring in Canada is slow at the moment but is not frozen altogether. A great source of info for jobs can be found here: AVCANADA • Index page
