Agree!!! Listen to what that Marine Honrnet Pilot says...SheppardAir.com Hands down, no question!!! I took my FE written....4 nights or 1.5 hours of studying and I got a 100%, Only 2 hours total for my flight instructor instrument and I walked away with a 98%. I also got my prep for free since I found 2 questions on the FAA test that weren't on the test prep.

If you talk to Mike, tell him JD sent you.

Fair warning.... you will learning the test...learning the material will be up to you!

Step 1. Buy a Gleim book for your rating.
Step 2. Go over every single question.
Step 3. Take the practice tests from the book.
Step 4. Stop flying if you get anything less than a 90%

Anything more than 70%, and youre trying too hard.

Pilot Practice Page

Definitely the most comprehensive website (free, too). Some of the questions are old, but most are good, and you can reference your graphics in the Gleim as you go along.

I've used checkride.com and have been very satisfied with it. You can download the actual program for no charge and try out about 5% of the questions and see how you like it before you commit to purchase. The cost is $35 per test or you if you buy all of them they give you a greatly reduced price.

doesnt the faa always throw in questions that arent in any books to see how people do on them?

mywrittenexams.com worked real well when i was going through doing my written exams. The questions on the actual written exam were the same ones from the practice exams. Check it out
