where to go?

Hey, I just found here to be a great place to get information from everyone. I'm thinking about UVU to start my professional pilot training. Within $47k, I'd get PPL, Instrument, CPL, CFI,CFII,ME,MEI. Sounds good to me. I don't need a degree. But they want me to be their student to fly with them. If so, then taking classes would be extra on top of $47k. Can anyone explain this? I'm still open to other flight school. I don't mind moving to other city as long as the training and living cost beat UVU. If you know better deal, please let me know. By the way, I'm an international student so part 61 school aren't for me?

What's UVU? 47K sounds like a lot. How much multi-time are you getting? That will make a huge difference in prices when you compare schools.

it's Utah Valley University. I just decided to give up that school. They don't care about international students. I am looking at Dutch Wings, who told me they'll be able to issue M-1 visa next year. Would you recommend other flight school that can take international students and whose tuition is reasonable? I want to get PPL, Instrument, CPL, CFI, CFII, and MEI within 35K.

Might want to check with ATP's. I think they do international students.

ATP cost a little more than $47k for PPL up to CFII/MEI, but I know the FLL location is the location for international students. Housing included.

I'm thinking about Dutch Wings, which will be able to issue M1 visa next year and BlueDiamond in La Verne, CA, a FBO. The owner of BlueDiamond told me that they have some agreement with a local school. So they'll issue me F-1 visa. The total expenses for both of these two won't exceed $30K. Any comment is welcome.

I'd check that price real close, seems awfully low. Fuel charges, cost of books and materials, how do they calculate needed flight time. They are not telling you something. How much of the flight time is in a Simulator?

Did anyone hear about Sky Walk ?
Their rates are so slow. I'm looking for low-rate flight training facilities that do international students.
