Lightbulb ATP Written 121 or 135? Which to take?

I am a First Officer for a Part 121 US Major airline. I am scheduling to take an ATP written.

In this book it states...
"There are two different tests for the ATP written, Part 121 and Part 135. From an FAA point of view it doesn't matter which one you take, the rating on your license reads the same. Part 135 may be a little easier, but the exposure to Part 121 questions might benefit preparation for an interview."

Seems like I should take the Part 135 ATP written if it is easier and is written the same on my certificate?? Your thoughts please...

I would definitely take the more difficult one. Studying for an exciting written exam is always more fun and interesting when there's more material to cover. Why would you deprive yourself of the opportunity to study for additional hours?

It won't matter which one you take if you use Shepard Air study guide. WELL WORTH THE $ for which ever one you take. I am in no way affiliated with them other than I used their software to study.

So true....SheppardAir all the way.
Why would you not be taking the 121 test though if you were flying 121?
I know you can take either one, but is the 135 test *really* easier?

If you already have the 121 job, you should already know the 121 rules v. having to juggle 135 rules for a couple days.

Default 121

121.....no use in confusing any of the 135 stuff with what you do on a day to day basis flying 121.

my opinion is, if you are already flying 121 for a Major, you should just stick with the 121 stuff...

My $.02...

Anyways.....Good Luck on your Test.....

I think it'd be easier to deal with a couple different regs than a couple different aircraft. That's why I did the 135 written.
