The total cost, $8,624,046, will be paid from the sale of ... two King Air jet planes ...

They should hang on to those King Air jet planes -- they're gonna be collectors' items someday.

I can't speak for other places, but honestly the experience is handled very well. There will always be "that guy," but it exposes folks to bigger things than the training environment.

I agree, the G1000 STC and blackhawk would probably be cheaper, and keep an airplane that can actually "haul" people, but not sure what they are thinking. I'm sure plenty of bean-counters figured the best plan.

I guess my C90 book is a collectors item now. Worst grade I ever got in that class by McA.

According to MN, the flight fees will pretty much follow the increase pattern that tuition has followed, and not much more than that. According to him they will not be increasing until the Fall 2011 semester. That said, the Phenom training will have a significant cost associated with it.

It's gonna be interesting instructing in those Cirri next year . . .

Yipee, the Phenom is definitely a better airplane than the King Air.

Waitaminnit...

Never flown the SR20, but the SR22 is a fine aircraft...the hard parts will be 1. 55% in the SR20 will be as fast or faster than full throttle in the Warrior, 2. the Cirrus ain't forgiving on landing like the Warrior, and 3. getting everybody onboard with the curriculum changes.

Agree on all three counts. Prop clearance is also significantly less in the Cirrus. An interesting transition it will be.
