How long to build hours..
So, in different situations, i'm curious how long it takes to build hours.
As a CFI? As a regional pilot? As a major airline pilot? We are talking being off of reserve. Thanks for any answers! :p |
As a CFI? 25-125 hours per month depending on the location and time of year.

Your goal once you get to a major is NOT to fly!

Once you've been in it as long as I have, you will see that it just becomes a job. I could care less if I fly or not, just keep giving me my check! That's all that matters.

And i do have backup options. I have a CDL license to drive trucks, getting my EMT cert on september then may do Paramedic if a pilot thing didnt pan out. Going to go back to college in the near future and get a degree. I mean it couldn't hurt to try..

So as a CFI you could build up your hours to around 1000 pretty quick then?
Edit: Damn, feel like i'm talkin to myself here.. |
I dont think his question was answered yet
