Question for a CFI about the Commercial
Home for the holidays so I do not have my CFI around to pester...
I am aware of the 250TT hour requirement to apply for the ticket, however... I have 50 hours in the same category of FTD time. Now when my instructors have been signing my logbook, they do not consider FTD as TT. Does this mean I can apply for the Commercial ticket at 200TT because I am credited the additional 50 FTD hours as per 61.129 (i) equaling 250? If someone could clear it up for me it would be much appreciated |

Use the 50h to meet the minimums, but do not log it at TT. It is not flight time in a log book. If you ever want to interview for a job, the two are separate.
