The Refresher

Hello all, I am a private pilot with about 85 hours. I have not flown since July ($$$$$) and I am planning a short hop this summer (IKV-MSP) with a couple of people. I have to get current anyway so I wondered what you guys and gals thought of just getting an instructor for a few hours to do some oral refreshing and flight training review. I feel as if this would be an asset to me since I have low time and it's been awhile since I've been up. What do you think? Any other suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Sounds like a great idea. That's what I do when I haven't done GA in a while, and I'm an airline pilot.

I think that is a great idea. For one you really will need the polishing up on all your operations, secondly your passengers will appreciate this more than you know.

Very good attitude, and I thank you! Some folks would do the 3 landings and go on their way, or not even do that.

Obviously a great idea.

Let the CFII in on your plans. Be sure to go over stuff that will happen on your flight i.e. Class B ops, radio work, etc.

Plan, Plan, Plan. Your passengers will be impressed, ATC will be impressed, and you'll be "flying high".

Have Fun!
