Private - Home study course

Can I get everyones input on a private pilot home study course for a student. She is in another town and I think that this will be a good start. Then we are getting together a few days a week to answer questions and fly. I know that Jepp and Sportys make them. Recommendations please. Thanks.

Is she an audio/visual learner? She may like the King videos. If not, the Jepp is pretty standard. Of course, the King videos are eye-rolling corny, but even so, more entertaining than a textbook if studying solo.

I used the Sporty's as a PVT student. They worked well. The 'AirFacts' were always pretty interesting.

The Jepp textbook is a must have IMO for a home study course. That's what I did. To get away from the boredom I also used Rod Machado's handbook...Joining AOPA is always a plus because they have a library of resources and all those nice online courses makes it definitely worthwhile.
